Do’s

  1. Do Plan Ahead: We get it’s tideous, but make sure to check the festival schedule, map, and any essential information beforehand. This helps to not miss any of your favorite artists and navigating the festival grounds efficiently!
  2. Do Arrive Early: Want to make sure you get close to the barrier? Arriving early ensures you get a good spot for your favorite performances and can take full advantage of the day’s activities.
  3. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day, you don’t want to end up in the medical tent with dehydration. There are often free water refill stations available. We recommend bringing a foldable refillable bottle, how about one of these from Amazon? HYDAWAY Collapsible Bottle
  4. Wear Comfortable Clothing: We know festivals are THE place to dress up and dress to impress. And we don’t want to advise you differently, but do make sure you check the weather to make sure you dress weather appropriate and wear comfortable shoes. Festivals require a lot of walking and standing! Wear the cowboy boots another time.
  5. Do Bring Essentials: It’s England…and you’ll probably need wellies. But do pack some sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a portable phone charger. These items will help you stay comfortable and connected.
  6. Do Follow Festival Rules: Don’t risk getting kicked out. Adhere to the festival’s code of conduct, including security checks and prohibited items list. This ensures everyone’s safety and enjoyment, so you can make those memories.
  7. Do Use Public Transport: If possible, use public transportation to get to the festival. It’s often more convenient and reduces the hassle of parking.
  8. Do Bring Cash and Cards: While many vendors may accept cards, having cash as a backup is always a good idea. Don’t wanna be sent away when you’re off to get a pint, put some extra cash in a small and convenient bag.
  9. Do Respect Others: Be mindful of those around you. Don’t put your phone in front of their face. Please wear deodorant. Respect personal space and be considerate of fellow festival-goers.
  10. Do Have a Meeting Point: If you’re going with your pals, arrange a designated meeting spot with friends in case you get separated. Festivals can be crowded and it’s easy to lose track of one another.

Don’ts

  1. Don’t Bring Prohibited Items: Avoid bringing items that are not allowed, such as large bags, cameras with professional lenses, or outside food and drink. Check the Wireless’ list of prohibited items on their page under “What You Can/Can’t Bring” https://wirelessfestival.co.uk/info-category/event-info/
  2. Don’t Forget ID: Lucky enough to look under 25? Stunning, but don’t forget a valid form of ID. For bonus points, take a picture of it so even if it gets lost, you’ll be good to go.
  3. Don’t Overpack: We get it, you want to be prepared. But before you bring a your heavy camping backpack to the field, make a list of your most important items and keep your belongings to a minimum. A heavy bag will hurt your back and some festivals have restrictions on bag sizes.
  4. Don’t Ignore Weather Forecast: Be prepared for sudden changes in weather. Bring a poncho or raincoat if rain is expected, and layers for cooler evenings. Poncho’s can be cute, how about this metallic poncho from Desigual? Metallic Poncho Desigual
  5. Don’t Leave Your Phone To Charge: Wireless provides communal charging stations where people can leave their phones to recharge. Absolutely take advantage of that should you need it, but be mindful not to leave it unattended. While these areas might seem safe, they can be targets for theft.
  6. Don’t Push or Shove: We get it, we also want to see Ice Spice up close, but to avoid panic, stay patient and avoid pushing in crowded areas. This keeps everyone safe, especially in large crowds with less space.
  7. Don’t Overdo Alcohol: Once you’ve paid for your pint in cash, do make sure to drink responsibly to ensure you enjoy your day to the fullest extent. Overconsumption can lead to health issues and a less fun night in your tent.
  8. Don’t Litter: Don’t be one of those people. Use the provided trash bins and recycling stations to keep the festival grounds clean for workers, fellow festival goers and the nature you’re surrounded by.
  9. Don’t Forget Your Ticket: It might seem silly, but ensure you have your ticket or wristband before leaving for the festival. Don’t let the excitement cloud your most important item to take! Double-check it’s around your wrist or safely stored in your bag.
  10. Don’t Lose Track of Time: A watch might not go well with your outfit…but keep an eye on the time to make sure you catch all the acts you planned to see and don’t miss your ride home.

Most importantly: Don’t forget to enjoy yourself!
